This Tree of Life box is made from solid oak. The four sides of the box were cut from a single board and assembled in sequence for grain continuance around the mitered corners. The mitered corner joints are reinforced with an internal spline making them exceptionally strong. The inside bottom is lined with a nice looking faux leather material, perfectly fitted. Stop hinges will hold the lid open at 95 degrees. All edges are rounded over and sanded smooth.

It is finished with Danish Oil, followed by buffing and polishing with pure Carnauba wax. Finish is shiny but not overly glossy and has a velvet-like feel.

Underside is signed, dated, and includes finish care instructions. I recommend Howard Feed-N-Wax for keeping the box looking nice. It is readily available on the internet and will keep your box looking great for years.

Personalization is no additional charge except for engraving on the underside of the lid. Please note your preferred font. Engraving done on the underside of the lid is $7 additional and there is a separate listing for the engraving charge with space to add those instructions. If engraving on the underside of the lid is desired you need to add the engraving credit to the shopping cart.

Shipping is insured. We normally ship USPS Priority Mail, sometimes Fed Ex Home Delivery. Expedited shipping is available at check out. Free domestic shipping does not include Alaska or Hawaii, but the additional charge is normally not all that much. I can let you know how much once I have your address.

Returns are accepted. The item must be returned in the original packaging and undamaged. Customer is responsible for return shipping cost. A full refund (less original shipping and insurance costs) will be issued. If the reason for returning is due to something on our end, then of course, we will make it right with you. Custom & personalized items are not returnable unless we are at fault.
